of the syllabus can be collected from the office of the Institution
of Mechanical Engineering (India), Hasmukh Bhavan (Kharghar),
on cash payment of Rs. 150/-
A Demand Draft of Rs. 350/- including postage in favour of the Institution
has to be sent for procuring a copy of the Syllabus along with the Application
form for Students grade / Associate grade / Technician grade membership. |
| Once
students are enrolled as members in the respective category, they can
receive the Journal “The Engineer” from our website. The journal
is updated on the website by the Institution every month. In this magazine
apart from Technical material, information including Institution’s
notification about programmes and examination are published. |
| In
order to meet the demand from the students and with a view of covering
the complete syllabus in the Text Books, Institution has printed Text
Books for T. Eng. Part-I and Part-II and for Section A and Section B examinations.
At the end of each Text Book, past questions papers of 10 Semesters have
been printed for helping the students with the examination. With this
there is no need to refer more than one costly Text Book per subject as
was happening earlier and the Institution expects the performance of the
students in the examination to improve.
The cost of Text Book is included in the composite fee as prescribed below
and books are supplied on payment of the composite fee. |
Passing
of Institution’s Technician Engineers examination is recognized
by the Department of Education, in the Ministry of Human Resource Development,
Government of India, at par with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from
State polytechnic for appointments & promotions to subordinate posts
in Central & State Governments, Public Sector undertakings etc. Passing
of Section A & Section B of Associate membership (also known as Chartered
Engineers) Examination is recognized by the Department of Education, in
the Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India at par
with a degree from Indian University for appointments & promotions
to superior posts in Central & State Governments, Public Sector Undertaking,
Corporations, Railways, etc.
Passing
of Section A & Section B of Associate Membership (also known as Chartered
Engineers) Examination is recognized by many Universities, the five I.I.T.s
& also Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for admission to Post
Graduate courses, subject to passing GATE examination.
These
examinations are also recognized by U.P.S.C. for admission to Engineering
Service Examination. |
